Here's how I use it?

Picture
Take a look at this picture with the adapter and bit installed in my "Wave".  This is the best way to use the adapter, with the handle open as shown.  This positions the end of the open handle directly centered over the screwdriver tip and allows for excellent fingertip torque at the center of the tool.  This also gives it a longer reach.

If more torque is needed, the back end of the handle can be folded to a 90º angle.  If a shorter driver is required, the handle can be closed.  In circumstances where a very short driver is needed, I have also released the lock on the "Bit Holder" and foldered it down against the other end of the closed handle.  This has allowed me to get into some very tight spaces.

As you can see, using my adapter provides many more useful configurations than does the Leatherman Tool Adapter Kit.  So why wait,

Warning: Using the Leatherman multi-tool in the above configurations can be hazardous.  In that you could pinch or smash your hand or fingers between the handles if extreme care is not taken.  As the multi-tool has many moving parts, it should always be used with caution when applying force to the head of a fastener.

Having said this, let me tell you that the only times I have pinched or smash my hand using my Leatherman multi-tool is while using it in the regular "pliers" configuration.  As, I am sure, many of you have done as well.
